It depends on your kids' ages, your budget, what kind of experience you are looking for, and how much planning energy you have.

Walt Disney World and Disneyland are incredible trips — but they require a lot of upfront planning to go well. I help families figure out the right resort, the right length of stay, and a realistic plan that does not turn into an exhausting marathon.
For families with older kids or teens — or families looking for more adventure at a stronger value — Royal Caribbean is a compelling option. The ships are massive, the activities are thrilling, and the value compared to Disney Cruise Line can be significant depending on the sailing.
Universal Studios Florida — including Universal Orlando Resort and the new Epic Universe — is a strong choice for families who want theme park magic with a different flavor. If your family is Harry Potter-obsessed, loves thrill rides, or wants something alongside Disney, Universal deserves a real look.
I give the same level of honest advice no matter which trip you are considering. If Disney Cruise is the better fit, I will say that. If Disney Parks, Royal Caribbean, or Universal makes more sense for what your family is looking for, I will say that too.
I am not trying to push one vacation over another. My interest is in helping your family find the trip that fits — not in steering you toward whichever option has the most margin.
